Seven additional dinosaur species will be introduced in Jurassic World Dominion, the upcoming sequel to Jurassic World. Dominion, directed by Colin Trevorrow, will bring the Jurassic World trilogy to a close, as well as the six-film storey that began with Steven Spielberg’s Jurassic Park in 1993. After debuting as an IMAX preview alongside Fast & Furious 9, a fresh new Prologue for Jurassic World Dominion has been revealed, featuring 5 minutes of footage.
Dominion takes place four years after the events of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, and finds humans forced to coexist with dinosaurs that have multiplied since being taken to the mainland and released into the wild. Dr. Alan Grant (Sam Neill), Dr. Ellie Sattler (Laura Dern), and Dr. Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum) will all appear in Dominion, where they will meet Jurassic World’s protagonist pair, Owen Grady (Chris Pratt) and Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard). Of course, fan-favorite dinosaurs from the franchise, such as the T-Rex, Blue the Velociraptor, and the Mosasaurus, will return. However, in addition to the traditional character dinosaurs, Jurassic World Dominion introduces a slew of new and previously unknown dinosaurs, both in the main tale and in the prequel, which takes place 65 million years ago during the Cretaceous Era.
The first two Jurassic World movies and Netflix’s Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous introduced the notion of hybrid dinosaurs such the Indominus Rex, Indoraptor, and Scorpios Rex, who were the enemies of the first two Jurassic World movies and Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous. However, there will be no hybrid animals in Jurassic World Dominion; instead, the film will focus on the different kinds of dinosaurs that existed (and still exist in the movie’s reality). Along with iconic dinosaurs, Jurassic World Dominion will feature brand-new dinosaurs, including a handful that were just recently unearthed by real-life palaeontologists. The seven new dinosaurs unveiled in the Jurassic World Dominion Prologue, as well as what we know about them, are listed below.
The Dreadnoughtus, a giant new sauropod comparable to the Brachiosaurus, is seen slogging through and by the watering hole in the Jurassic World Dominion Prologue. The Dreadnoughtus’ bones were just unearthed in real life in 2005, and the huge herbivore makes its Jurassic World premiere in the prologue of Dominion.
The Oviraptor is a feathered dinosaur that is comparable to the Velociraptor but smaller in size. It is somewhat annoyingly buried in shade. It’s one of the first dinosaurs in the Jurassic franchise to have feathers, making it more scientifically correct, and it’s seen invading a bigger dinosaur’s nest to take an egg in the Prologue.
